RONNI

ronni

CURRENTLY IN REHABILITATION  (not ready for homing yet)

This pretty young bitch who was found as a stray by the dog warden and was never claimed. She is now vaccinated and microchipped, we have treated her for fleas and worms and she has had a vet check. Ronni was incredibly timid when she first came to us and is now in rehab kennels as she is in need of some training. Ronni will need an owner who has the time to give her the ongoing training that every young dog needs to guide them through the petals of adolescence.

If you can offer one of out GDSs a home please complete an adoption form application

Beauty

Beauty

Beauty came in from the pound, she is about 5 or 6 years old and currently entire as she has just had a season. We think she may be crossed with a Belgian Shepherd.  The kennel environment does not suit Beauty at all, in a matter of days she had destroyed 2 beds, 2 bowls and taken all the paint and much of the plaster off the walls. However, in a home environment she is a different dog, happy, loving and relatively calm.  Beauty could live with another dog, but is unknown with cats.

Beaty needs an experienced, firm but fair owner and is currently doing well in foster care.

If you think you could offer Beauty the home she so desperately needs and deserves, please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch

Bonnie

blondie 2blondie

Bonnie is approx 5-6 year old neutered bitch.  She is quite a nervous dog and will attach herself predominantly to one person.  Once she knows you, Bonnie is a very affectionate girl and craves cuddles. She will mix with other dogs, but is better with large dogs. Bonnie will be best suited to a home without cats or young children. Bonnie is back with EGSR after having previously being adopted due to her owner sadly passing away.

If you think you could offer Bonnie the home she so desperately needs and deserves, please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch

Preeya

preeya 2 preeya

Preeya is a 17 month old neutered bitch. She can be quite fussy regarding who she does or doesn’t like, and if she takes a disliking there seems to be no winning her round. She is ok with dogs of her own size but not small dogs, cats or children.  Preeya would best be homed to a house where there is another dog.

If you think you could offer Preeya the home she so desperately needs and deserves, please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch

Sheba

Sheba getting weighed

Here is the beautiful Sheba. She is a 4-5 yr old bitch and has been neutered.  Sheba came into kennels in a very poor state! She had been chained, one around her body and one around her neck, in a garden all her life. Her coat was extremely matted and had dreadlocks in her mane!! She is a good size, stocky bitch and can be a power house when she wants, she hated other dogs with a passion!!!!

Sheba has now been in rehab since April 2014, her coat is glossy and her eyes shine and dance.  She is clean in her kennel, but still has an issue with other dogs. She goes into town regularly and is not bothered about noise or people – just loves watching what’s going on. Sheba is loyal and loving once she nows you. Sheba can struggle to keep her weight on and is currently on a good quality dried food diet.11895017_1459074124399938_3737208938993529755_o

Having done her time in rehab Sheba now needs a home of her own, as an only dog and where she can be the centre of attention. She needs a firm but fair owner as she is a very powerful dog and will react to other dogs. She
would be best suited to a house without small children running around as she has no experience with the little people.  So come on take a leap of faith and I’m sure you will be rewarded with a fantastic companion.

LOLA – NORFOLK

Lola looking for a home

Lola looking for a home

Lola is an adorable 3yr old female GSD X Labrador who came into the care of the rescue from a very loving home who could no longer keep her due to changes enforced by her landlord. Lola has visited the vets and she has recently been neutered, vaccinated and is microchipped. Lola is currently in foster care with 4 other dogs of varying ages, older children and cats. Although she is living with cats, she will chase them given the opportunity. .

Lola - please play ball with me

Lola – please play ball with me

Lola does have some anxiety issues which are constantly being worked on with the assistance of a behaviourist. She is can be very nervous around strangers and react negatively. With careful introduction she soon realises there is nothing to be afraid of and is then a very attentive, loving young lady. In familiar surroundings with familiar faces she is absolutely fine. Lola loves her cuddles and likes nothing better than playing ball. She walks well on a lead and has boundless energy. We are currently working on exposing her to new situations on a regular basis to help increase her confidence and social skills – camping with her foster family is the latest adventure!

Lola needs a home where her new owners will continue to work with her, build up her confidence and help deal with her anxieties. They will obviously receive help and support from the rescue with this as much as is necessary. Lola has already made huge leaps forward but she will continue to be work in progress and any new owner needs to be prepared to put time and effort into this young dog.

Lola would ideally suit a home with no young children with owners who have the time and patience to continue this adorable young dogs rehabilitation.

If you think you could offer Lola a home please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch.

SASHA

sasha

This adorable 8yr old lady is an ex working (security) dog. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Sasha is a gentle affectionate lady in the house but when out on a lead she does react to other dogs. She is currently in foster care with another GSD. She enjoys playing with a ball and has been known to climb on the trampoline.

Sasha cannot live with cats and she isn’t great with livestock. Sasha needs a home she can call her own. She is used to being crated and she doesn’t mind being left for a few hours.

Sasha is fine with children but we would rather rehome where there are no small children.

She was handed in to the rescue when she was no longer able to work the hours required as a security dog.

If you think you can offer Sasha a home please complete an adoption application form  and one of the Rescue team will be in touch.
