Fenn

fenn

Fenn is a 2 1/2 year old neutered male.  He is a good dog but is still learning some manners – he will jump up to greet you.  He has a delicate tummy so treats and scavenging cause hm problems.  Fenn can be a bit of a thief, he will steal and eat anything that is within reach.  He can be quite a vocal dog but is learning that his food is delayed when he shouts for it! He is currently in foster with other GSDs and has previously lived with cats.  He is great with children and loves to play. He would be best placed in a home with no small children as he may knock them over when he jumps up. Fenn still needs a little work on a lead but he is learning slowly.

If you think you could offer Fenn the home he so desperately needs and deserves, please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch

Elsie

IMG_5643

Approx 6yr old bitch, neutering status unknown as she came from a dog pound after being found as a stray. Needs a home as an only dog as she has a dominant streak. Currently in foster with other Gsds so she will tolerate other dogs but she would be happier on her own. Elsie adores children and is very loving.

We are pleased to announce Elsie has been rehomed on 05/02/2015.

Zeus

Zeus

Meet the mighty Zeus a 3yr old neutered male.

Zeus came into rehab as his previous owner became ill and he wouldn’t allow the careers in to help.  He is a big boy and has a big personality too.

Since being in rehab Zeus has learnt that he doesn’t need to be the boss, he will still guard his kennel but when you open the door his reaction is ‘oh ok’ and just comes out. He can be bolshy on the lead however if the handler is firm he gives in.  He has been into town without any problems, not bothered about the noise and people.  Zeus loves to be active so therefore would be best suited to an active lifestyle home and because of his size no small children.

If you think you could offer Zeus the home he so desperately needs and deserves, please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch

Suki

Suki

Meet our little nutter Suki. She is the smallest Gsd I’ve met and is approx 1-2 years old.

Not much is known about her history but on entry into rehab her coat was very matted and she was extremely nervous but very sweet.

11217512_1462751017365582_8972824648673877803_nSuki wouldn’t walk on a lead and would just spin and crouch down. She will now go for a small walk but is still nervous. Suki has come a long way while in rehab and even put in an appearance at our fundraiser in May. Because of her nervousness she will still need someone with time and patience- they will be well rewarded for their time.

If you think you could offer Suki the home she so desperately needs and deserves, please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch

Bilbo

Rescue German Shepherd Rescue

Here’s the very handsome Bilbo he is 7 and has been neutered.

Bilbo came into rehab as he was barking a lot when left. He is generally a nice older gentleman but can be grumpy and likes his own space.

Bilbo would be best suited to an older couple that want a companion rather than a family as that would be too much for him.

River,

river-gsd

This is River

She’s a young bitch who loves a good game of ball.

Excellent recall, doesn’t really bother with other dogs when out walking.

Fantastic with children (currently living with a 7yr old, 5yr old & 3yr old).

She can be a little territorial to begin with but after an hour or so, she settled in perfectly fine with her fosterers other dog.

River is unknown with cats.

If you think you could offer River the home she so desperately needs and deserves, please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch

Echo

ECHO-CURRENTLY IN REHABILITATION

( not available at the moment)

What a beauty this little girl is. Echo is currently in rehab as she doesn’t no how to behave and has been displaying nervous aggressive traits. Her previous owners had problems with her lunging and barking at both people and dogs.

If you think you could offer a GSD a home please complete an adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch

Zak – Lincs

IMG_2166

Zak and his ball

Zak is a charming lad who has had a rough start in life. He came into the rescue in an emergency with two other dogs in a very bad way. (Mia and Trojan – both now rehomed) He was incredibly weak and underweight, he could hardly stand. The wonderful ladies at the kennels set to work building him up slowly and ferried him to and fro the vets as necessary. Zak made steady progress and was finally strong enough to be castrated. He recovered well and is now ready and waiting for his new home.

Zak would ideally be homed as an only dog- not because he doesn’t get on with other dogs but he can be a little too much for some dogs who then tell him off. It would be great to see Zak in a home receiving all the love an attention that every dog deserves. He needs to be homed in a cat free home as he has shown a rather unhealthy interest in the cats at the kennels.

ZIGGY – NORFOLK

Smiling for the camera

Smiling for the camera

Beautiful Ziggy is a 6yr old  long haired bitch who is neutered, microchipped and vacinated. She is a lovely dog who is very friendly and loves to play ball. She can be a little dominant with some other dogs but on the whole is fine. She is fine with children but is unknown with cats. She is currently living in a kennel, with another dog, while she awaits her forever home.

Ziggy is a little ‘chunky’ at the moment so she is on a diet! She does enjoy her food so needs a home that is going to be aware of her waistline. She is awaiting a trip to the groomers. She was there a few months ago, and she was an absolute angel – very generous with her kisses.

Slimmer Ziggy at groomers earlier this year

Ziggy was rehomed earlier this year but has come back to the rescue after a drastic change of circumstances for her owner. She will make a wonderful addition to a family.
