BINNY – NORFOLK

Binny - elegant lady

Binny – elegant lady

Beautiful Binny has a real tale to tell….

Binny soaking up the sun

She was found as a pup in a dustbin in Spain (hence her name) She was rescued and has spent 6 loving years with her owner travelling between UK and Spain. Sadly she is now looking for a new home due to her owners ill health and changes in circumstance. Binny is 6yrs old, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. She has been flea’d and wormed and is patiently awaiting her new home. She is good with other dogs, can be a little vocal on meeting new dogs but once she has said hello she quickly calms down. She is good with children and is currently in foster care with another GSD and children.

LYLA – NORFOLK

Adopt me

Looking for somebody to love

This beautiful young bitch is Lyla. She is approx 10 months old and as yet is not neutered. She hasn’t had the best start in life and will need a very understanding and patient adoptive family. Lyla originally lived in a flat but was sold on the internet after her owner discovered that a boisterous GSD puppy was just too much for her to cope with. The family that purchased Lyla contacted us a week after taking Lyla into their home after again discovering how much work a young GSD can be. Lyla suffers from separation anxiety and is currently in foster under assessment to see just how severe this is. We are hoping with some stability in her life she will have no need to feel so anxious.

GSD

Gorgeous girl seeks new home

Lyla is not house trained so its back to basics with her. She is a very friendly dog and is currently in foster with lots of other GSDs who she loves snuggling up to. She has all the bad habits of a naughty GSD pup;- jumps up, vaults fences, steals from the worktop, mouths in excitement, jumps stairgates etc etc. She does walk well on a lead and with some training will be a great family dog, but not one for the fainthearted. Lyla is currently crated when left and overnight and we are using a Thundershirt to try and ease her anxieties.

JET – NORFOLK

Adopt me

Gentle Jet seeking a new home

Jet is a young male dog who we estimate to be 2-3 years old. We don’t know his exact age as he was found as a stray, un-chipped, un-neutered and roaming free. He did his required time at the dog pound and was then at risk of being put to sleep as no owner had come forward. EGSR was contacted and agreed to take Jet in. He initially went into kennels to be assessed as being a stray we had no real idea of his temperament or character. He soon showed what a fantastic dog he is and is now in a foster home awaiting adoption.

EGSR

Jet fundraising and raising awareness of the work EGSR d0

Jet has now been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and is patiently waiting for the right people to adopt him. He has a very gentle nature and is good with children and other dogs. He is ok with cats with careful introduction. Jet is still a youngster so although he is gentle he does have his mad moments of charging around the garden and will jump up with excitement. He enjoys playing with other dogs, but his absolute favourite toy is water – he loves a paddling pool and we are hoping to get to the coast soon to let him play on the beach and in the sea.

Playtime

Jet loves larking about in water!

Jet has been out fundraising for EGSR with his fosterers, he was an absolute joy meeting and greeting numerous people, children and their dogs. Jet was incredibly gentle and patient with all the children allowing them to pet and cuddle him. Jet has a lot of love to offer his new adoptive family, and will be a good match for an active family.

JENZI

jenzi

Jenzi is a 5 year old, recently neutered bitch.

She is a very loving girl, brilliant with children (currently living with 3  between the ages of 4 and 9 years old) and was previously taken into primary schools to teach children how to remain safe in the presence of dogs.

Jenzi has passed her silver KCGC award. She has been obedience trained formally since puppyhood, is incredibly alert and relishes the thought of training.

She is very quick on the uptake and likes to learn new things.

It is not known how Jenzi is with cats, but she mixes well with other dogs.

YIANNIS – NORFOLK

Yiannis-needs a home

Yiannis-needs a home

Yiannis is a very lovable 5 year old neutered male, he will be 6 in October 2014. He is also vaccinated and microchipped. Yiannis adores children, especially younger ones. He used to visit schools to teach children how to act around dogs while with his previous owner.  He also regularly attended training classes and achieved the Kennel Club Gold Standard award. His owner was sadly unable to keep up with his training due to ill health, hence Yiannis coming into rescue and needing a new home.

yiannis2

Yiannis-please adopt me

Yiannis is a real character and is a talkative lad. He loves to play and can get quite excited. He is good with other dogs and has even been out to fundraising events with his foster mum promoting the work of the rescue. A large lad, he sometimes forgets his size and can be quite clumsy. His tail especially is great at clearing coffee tables!

yiannnis3

Yiannis with his foster brother

Yiannis has had some ear trouble over the years. His ear was infected when he first came in to the rescue but this has now been treated and vets have advised that an ear cleaner be used on a weekly basis to help prevent recurring infection. A truely lovely lad who will fit well into most homes. He isn’t a cuddly dog and can seem quite aloof at first but he is bursting with character and can be a real clown given the chance.

If you are interested in adopting Yiannis please complete the adoption application form and one of the Rescue team will be in touch.
